Stress Management and Tension Reduction Seminar

Do you carry stress in your body?  Does your body react to stress, crisis or traumatic memories or events?

This 6-hour seminar focuses on understanding the body's reaction to stress and tension, and includes education and experiential exercises to help provide awareness of tension in the body, and subsequent exercises for tension reduction.  This seminar is designed for any one interested in learning about how trauma and stress impact physical functioning and how to decrease tension in the body. Involves gentle movements, breathwork, stretching and other techniques designed to improve focus and create relaxation.

It is not designed as a substitute for therapy, although may benefit ongoing personal and professional development.  If you are a therapist, this is a good way to learn augmentative strategies to use with your clients who are working for physical release of tension, being centered and using breathing as part of grounding techniques.  If you are a client or just someone who is tired of being tense, but don't know how to release the tension or stress you are carrying, please join us.

Fee is $50.00, light snack provided

Who should attend?  Students, regular folks, therapists, interested people over the age of 16.  Group is capped at 8 participants.
